CLB Academy

CLB Academy is a subsidiary of Centre for Law and Business and was established specifically to address the post secondary school and pre-degree needs of O’level students. CLB Academy provides the necessary bridge between completion of O’level and the commencement of undergraduate degree studies. CLB Academy therefore offers pre-degree programmes for O’level students that will enable them qualify to study for undergraduate degrees in law, accounting, banking, banking and finance, business, computer science, information systems and management, management, international relations, politics and international relations, sociology, etc of University of London and CLB UK Partner Universities such as University of Hertfordshire,  University of Essex/Kaplan Online and Oxford Brookes University. The pre-degree programmes provide progression from O’level qualification to undergraduate degrees and/or professional qualifications and ultimately postgraduate studies.

CLB Academy offers the following options in its pre-degree programmes. Students are free to choose the programme that suits their purposes:

  1. ACCA – Association of Chartered Certified Accountants: Global body for Professional Accountants.
    F1 – F4 Papers (4 Papers out of 13 Papers for full ACCA Qualification)

Minimum Entry Requirement:  0’level (5 Credits)

This pre-degree programmes provides early exposure to the professional qualification of the ACCA – Association of Chartered Certified Accountants: Global body for Professional Accountants and so a good choice for the student who is interested in a future career in finance and accounting. It helps to “Start a career in Finance”

 Duration:   9 months (1 Academic Year)

 Fee (subject to change): N 1,200,000 inclusive of ACCA registration and examination fees, books and study materials.

Award: Upon successful completions students will be awarded a Diploma in Accounting by ACCA and receive a Certificate of Completion from CLB

Qualification for:

  • Employment (continuation to complete ACCA qualification)
  • Admission into undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business, Management, Finance, Arts & Social Sciences

Progression:

    Academic- ACCA F1 –F4 —– UNDERGRADUATE —– POSTGRADUATE

(PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION)

Professional Qualification- ACCAF1-F4 —– F5-F9 —– P papers.

  1. INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION (IF)

A fast track Alternative Pathway that helps raise academic standard of students to the IGSCE A’ Level Standard for admission into UK Universities including University of London.

 

Minimum Entry Requirement:   0’level (5 Credits)

Start Date:  September

Duration:    9 months (1 Academic Year)

Mode of Study: Students study a combination of compulsory core subjects and elective subjects that   reflect the undergraduate degree students wish to study in the university upon completion of the International Foundation.

Qualification for admission into undergraduate degrees in:

       Law, Accounting, Business, Management, Finance, Arts & Social Sciences

    Progression:

IF —– UNDERGRADUATE —– POSTGRADUATE

  1. UniPrep (A’level IGSCE)

Preparatory classes for A’level IGSCE examinations: this programme prepares students to take the A’level IGCSE examinations and gain the A’ level qualification for entry into University of London and other UK Universities.

Minimum Entry  Requirement:  0’level (5 Credits)

      Start Dates:  September/October and February.

      Duration9 months (1 Academic Year)

Each of these programmes will provide qualification for admission into undergraduate degrees of University of London which can be studied in Nigeria at Centre for Law and Student – the parent institution of CLB Academy, under different convenient and flexible pathways:

  • Full time studies for full time students in the day time,
  • Evening classes for busy mature students,
  • Total study time at CLB, CLB offers the option to study fully at CLB for the entire duration of the programme,
  • Partial study time at CLB and partially in the UK. For example within a three year undergraduate degree programme, students may if they choose study for the first year at CLB and proceed to the UK to study on-campus for the second and final year, or study for the first two years; (years 1 and 2) at CLB and the third and final year on-campus in the UK. This affords students an opportunity to partake in foreign study meeting foreign students, international experience, networking, etc but in a cost effective manner for parents, sponsors and more so for self-sponsored students.
